Google has removed a handful of apps on Google Play that assist users with stalking, disclosed a report by Avast on Wednesday
“Avast identified and reported four of the apps on Tuesday to Google, then later removed them from the Play Store,” the software antivirus company stated company stated in its blog.
Experts found out that the most popular apps were SMS Tracker and Spy Tracker, which had already been installed 50, 000 times. The software antivirus company also noted that all the apps being identified as stalkerware had a combined 130 000 installs between them.
The stalkerware apps already removed by Google included; Employee Work Spy, Phone Cell Tracker and Spy Kids Tracker.
